Automatic coop doors for cold climates

These automatic doors are rated by their makers for 0°F or colder. Battery doors slow down in deep cold, so if your lows hit -20°F, a plug-in door or one rated to -20°F is the safer bet.

Before you choose

Measure your pop door. Large breeds need a taller opening than bantams. In cold climates, check the lowest temperature the door is rated for, since batteries and motors slow down in the cold.
